Brigitte Bako

She is the creator, writer, star, and executive producer of the hit Canadian cable series, G-spot. The show is one of the most loved and popular shows in Canada. It has been sold all over the world and has garnered numerous award nominations and including Best Comedy Series—three years in a row; Best Comedic Actress in a series; and Best Comedy Ensemble. The series aired on HBO Canada and HULU in the US, and is now streaming on Amazon Prime, iTunes, and Tubi.

Brigitte Bako also has an impressive list of film and television credits to her name, working along side such greats as Ralph Fiennes, Michael Keaton and Angela Basset. Brigitte has also had the honor of working with some of Hollywood’s most accomplished directors including Academy Award winners Katherine Bigelow and Martin Scorsese. As a series creator, Brigitte has worked with producer Gavin Palone (Curb your Enthusiasm) for a pilot at HBO, Teri Weinberg (Ugly Betty, The Office) for a show at IFC, and with Paul Abbott (Shameless) for a series for Sky TV UK.

As a voice actress, fans should recognize Brigitte as the voice of Angela in Gargoyles and Monique Dupre in Godzilla: The Series.

This year Brigitte worked on her first book-to-tv adaption, bringing Insatiable: Tales from a Life of Delicious Excess, by Gael Greene about the famed food critic who worked at New York magazine for 40 years, to Amazon TV.

Bako currently maintains residences in both Los Angeles and New York.
