Midwest Sci-Fi Short Film Festival Award Showcase

Join us for the best of independent, genre-based shorts from the Midwest and places beyond. MSFFF will be screening our award winning films from 2021 along with a selection of shorts from virtual events held earlier this year. Hold on to your eyeballs!
Annual Film Festival Events
The Midwest Sci-Fi Short Film Festival hosts several weekend-long virtual screenings of sci-fi, fantasy, and horror short films throughout the year.
Festival Weekends run Friday starting at 6:00 p.m. CT through the end of the day on Sunday. Film Festival pass holders have 54 hours to watch up to three hours of new, independent short films during each screening event. Then, pass holders get to vote on the best short films, which are featured in the awards showcase and screened the following year at CONvergence!

As part of Midwest Sci-Fi Short Film Festival’s commitment to accessibility, all film selections will offer English subtitles or captions to ensure that Deaf and hard of hearing pass holders can enjoy every short film.
Submit Your Film
As always, there is no fee to submit your film to the Midwest Sci-Fi Short Film Festival, but not all films qualify for submission. Please read the rules carefully to ensure that your film meets all the criteria for submission. Good luck!
