Friday

11:30pm – 5:30am Boss Level (dance)
Get ready to get your groove on as we pull out all the stops for a night of intense dancing and tunes until dawn. Not only will this night feature two special guests, but the CONvergence gogos are back for their 5th year of dancing, shaking their behinds together all night long to some awesome music!

See our video signage for additional info and updates to our schedule.

  • 11:30pm Kristopher Carter Presents: “The Kr Protocol” – World Premiere DJ Set
Emmy-winning composer and 2017 Guest of Honor Kristopher Carter returns to CONvergence to debut his EDM project, “The Kr Protocol.” Come dance as Kristopher spins a series of Kryptonite-fueled sci-fi and superhero EDM remixes to open the Friday Night Rave.
  • 12:00am DJ HarshMellow
Kurt Harland Larson, also ominously known as ‘DJ HarshMellow’ is better known as the lead singer of Information Society from Minneapolis. Playing a mix of Industrial-EDM and Goth, he is sure to both inspire and vaguely trouble anyone brave enough to attend.
  • 1:00am DJ Curium’s Dance for UnCanny Con-Goers
Attention: Wonder Women, Wakandans, Warriors, and Wanderers! Even the most prolific superheroes, villains, and misanthropes need to blow off some steam. So adorn yourself with your best spandex, capes, and masks-that-don’t-really-disguise-your-face and join us as we dance off the stress of saving and destroying the world to music from Comic Book Soundtracks.
  • 2:00am Fenris
Slow and steady wins the race, but when you add gritty and grindy to that mix, we know you’ll need extra water when you cross the finish line. Fenris again brings his own specialized sound to CONvergence.
  • 3:00am DJ O2
Somebody that has always believed that music should tell a story, O2 has taken CONvergence along for the ride while exploring themes related to the convention.
  • 4:00am Spier
Presenting a mix of high-energy beats, rumbling bass tones, and geek enthusiasm, Spier brings his formula for a good time to those that want to get down.

Saturday

11:30pm – 6:30am In Our Wildest Dreams (dance)
Saturday’s musical journey traverses a dreamlike state beginning with a live performance from Information Society! Our traditional hour of sci-fi and geek related music and follows, then the party continues with the folks that have been making Mainstage dance for years.

See our video signage for additional info and updates to our schedule.

  • 11:30pm Information Society
A look into the history of Information Society (InSoc) is a peek at the evolution of electronic music with a flair for all things geek. Even if you somehow don’t think you know the name, you’re certain to know the music. InSoc tore into the scene during MTV’s golden era and added firmly to the richness of music originating from Minnesota. CONvergence is happy to celebrate its 20th year with these titans of synthpop.
  • 12:45am Sci-fi music hour
Nerd songs, parodies, geeky rap battles, things to sing along to, spontaneous conga lines, and just a bit of snark. That’s what you can expect when geeks get behind dj gear and are allowed to press (or is it push?) the buttons that make the music go.
  • 2:00am noise
This will be noise’s 20th year of playing music at CONvergence, which either means he’s crazy or super-dedicated to making sure you get your dance on. Hang on for some growling bass and black-light inspired twists through familiar tunes and darker delights.
  • 3:00am dv8
A pivotal part of the Mainstage crew, dv8 always delights by dv8-ing from the music he plays at clubs to offer the CONvergence crowd something different and wonderful, with over two decades of experience playing at conventions to draw from.
