Getting to the Convention

Until transporter technology is developed, you must take a shuttle craft or land vehicle of some kind to CONvergence. This page should help you decide which option is best for you!

Many people drive to CONvergence, but please be aware that parking is extremely limited. Click here for parking information.

We very strongly recommend you consider carpooling or another option to get to the convention.

Taxi Service

Here are a list of local taxi, car, and shuttle service options in the Twin Cities area of MN. CONvergence does not officially endorse any of these vendors.

Ride Sharing

Uber and Lyft are both options at the convention hotel and throughout the Twin Cities, MN. CONvergence does not officially endorse either of these vendors.

Use Lyft offer code “CVG2017” to get $5 off your first ride.

City Bus

Metro Transit routes 6 and 540 have stops near the DoubleTree by Hilton Bloomington. Both routes run between the DoubleTree and the Sheraton along W 78th Street. Detailed schedules can be found at the Metro Transit website.

Hotel Shuttles

The DoubleTree by Hilton Bloomington offers a complimentary shuttle service 7 days a week to the MSP Airport.

Airport Shuttle Service Hours

  • Shuttle FROM: 6:00am – Midnight
  • Shuttle TO: 5:30am – 11:30pm

Please note that this is separate from the free CONvergence Shuttle Service.


Some members ride a bicycle to the convention, but please be aware that there is no bicycle rack available at the DoubleTree by Hilton.
