Panel Suggestion Form

Programming suggestions for CONvergence 2018 are accepted starting the first day of CONvergence 2017 (July 06, 2017) and running through March 31, 2018.

Fields marked with a * are required.

This is the title as would be displayed in the Souvenir guide.

This is the description for the Souvenir guide.

Tags help us sort panels on the final schedule. You may select multiple tags if applicable.

Please enter any special needs not covered elsewhere, include requests for days or times (including days or times to avoid).

Locked means not open to public sign-up. You are responsible for finding participants. Being locked has no effect on whether it will be scheduled.

Programming does not normally approve volunteer hours for preparation. If you are looking for such hours, check the 'Requesting Volunteer Hours for Preparation' checkbox above and use the 'Other Notes' field below to explain what the hours would be used for. Programming staff will contact you for further information and to work out a plan before the event is scheduled.

If it’s not evident from the description, please tell us anything else you want us to know including why you think we should run it. This is particularly important for performances.

Name and email address are required for anything other than a Panel. They are also required for a panel if you want us to acknowledge receiving this submission.

Panel suggestions should be received by January 31, 2018 for the best chance of making it. However, the later an idea is received, the less chance it has of making it onto the program. CONvergence programming may combine or rework suggestions, including suggested panelists. For regular panels, the person suggesting the panel is considered in the pool of all people who sign up for it, assuming that you sign up for it: just suggesting a panel does not automatically sign you up for it. It may take a week or so for us to get back to you (if you supply an email address).
