During the convention, several floors of hotel rooms are transformed into incredible themed parties with something for everyone. You must be a registered member of CONvergence to attend CONvergence 2024 parties.

Mobile parties are wandering throughout the convention, bringing fun experiences to CONvergence attendees wherever they are!
Insufferable Bard
Relax to the sonorous sounds of the lute or revel in a jaunty tavern jig to inspire your con adventure! Requests for Wonderwall will be met with Vicious Mockery.

Bright Yellow Duckie Lady, minion(s) and a wagon full of Duckie badge-ribbons, rubber duckies and many other duck related items.

Minicon is the longest running volunteer run Sci-Fi Convention in the Midwest, (on our 59th year). We’re a community driven general fannish Convention, branching out to more gaming, anime, and other related themes. Take advantage of these scientifically-proven tips from Professor Max Misfittle to get the most out of your CONvergence Party experience!
- It’s polite to leave a donation if you eat or drink anything at a party. Arm yourself with a stack of $1 bills to tip your generous party hosts!
- Say Hello to everyone in the room! Parties are about meeting people and socializing, so don’t be shy! Whether you’re hopping from room to room or camped in one party for the night, a friendly greeting is often the start of a great conversation!
- Help keep the party area clean! If you see some trash on the floor or abandoned on a table, do the party hosts and the convention a favor by picking it up.
- Be mindful of traffic. CONvergence parties can get very busy, so try not to crowd the doors or impede traffic in the hallways. If someone asks for your photo, try to step out of the busy traffic area to take it!
- Drinking is a privilege not a right. Choosing to serve or not on the basis of presentation of sobriety, general behavior, or DWI flags is completely within the rights of party rooms. Don’t over intoxicate!
- Always be respectful. Whether at a party or throughout the rest of the convention, always be respectful of others. Remember that costumes are not consent for touching, grabbing, or harassment. For more information, please see the CONvergence Harassment Policy.
- Thank the party hosts! CONvergence party hosts put countless hours and resources into throwing an awesome party at CONvergence! If you enjoy their party, make sure to thank them for their efforts!
