Taping up Signage

Remember, if you are posting flyers or signage around the hotel, it is the policy of the Sheraton that the ONLY acceptable tape is plain beige masking tape. It's a tape they know won't hurt the walls. Yes, there are some other fancy tapes that are just as safe or safer, but the Sheraton staff can't be expected to be looking for countless varieties of tape, and they've asked that only beige masking tape be used. If you're using a different kind of tape, or if the Sheraton staff can't clearly see that it's beige masking tape that you're using, your flier or signage will be taken down.
Also, you may not post fliers on the wood paneling around the elevators, or anywhere on the first floor other than the cabana area. It doesn't matter what kind of tape you're using, the hotel doesn't want the flyers there at all!
And a tip from us: To get flyers to stay up for the weekend - especially near the pool where there is greater humidity - you need to secure ALL FOUR CORNERS of your flyer with a generous amount of tape. If you don't, the corners will curl up and your flyer will fall of the wall. If you just put one piece at the top and one at the bottom, your flyer probably won't last the night. Trust us - it's been this way for years!
So remember:
- Beige masking tape ONLY
- Post flyers only in acceptible areas
- Secure all four corners
