Seanan McGuire Added as 2011 Guest of Honor

Urban fantasist Seanan McGuire writes the October Daye series and the InCrptid series under her own name, and the Newsflesh trilogy under the pseudonym of Mira Grant. Her short fiction has appeared in multiple anthologies and she was a 2010 Universe Author for The Edge of Propinquity. Seanan was the winner of the 2010 John W. Campbell Award for Best New Writer, and her novel Feed was named as one of Publishers Weekly's Best Books of 2010.

A filk musician, she also writes and records original music currently available on three CDs. Her autobiographical webcomic With Friends Like These shows off her cartooning skills, but you could also read her blog to find out about the day-to-day life of this artist and fan. According to her website, "She has strongly-held and oft-expressed beliefs about the origins of the Black Death, the X-Men, and the need for chainsaws in daily life."
