Posting Flyers and Signs

Every year at CONvergence, the walls are covered with a mulit-colored cacophony of flyers and posters, most of which promoting room parties or other events at the con.

Where to Post
The hotel does not want posters in the 1st floor lobby area or in the elevators.

Acceptable Tape
All posters must be hung with standard beige masking tape. Any posters hung in the wrong places or with other tape will be removed.

What to put on your sign
Most parties hang many 8x11 or larger posters around the hallways to advertise their party. These typically include party name, room number, and something about the concept or scheduled events. Be creative; you want them to stand out! Anything from full-color images to stark letters on a white background can be effective. Be sure to reserve any content inappropriate for general audiences for inside your party room. Many people find that 20-30 posters can be the right amount, but you can print more depending on how many you want to hang up.

Corkboards
The corkboards placed around the hotel are for reserved for official convention use only. This is so official convention information isn't lost in the multi-colored cacophony of the many flyers posted by fans.
