Friday Night MainStage Events

In a "normal" year, evening CONvergence MainStage events follow a pattern: Opening Ceremony & Live Band, Masquerade & DJ Dance, Closing Ceremony. But when you have an extra day of CONvergence, what do you do with that extra evening of MainStage?

We have an answer for you! With Opening Ceremonies and a concert by Savage Aural Hotbed on Thursday Night, the Friday Night MainStage schedule is a line-up of special Year 10 Treats:

7:00pm THAC0
Returning from the 2005 Minnesota Fringe Festival, "THAC0" is about four guys who really want to fight some monsters, but first they have to figure out who was supposed to bring the nacho chips! Included in the cast is COnvergence’s own Jon Olson, live and direct from Connie’s Space Lounge. Fast, funny, and geeky greatness! "Four men. One dungeon. No electrum pieces."

8:30pm Best of the Masquerade
Ten full years of costumes and performances are too big for even OUR stage all at once, so we invited a few of our previous winners to return to the MainStage and share their fantastic entries with us again! Whether you’ve seen them before or never at all, you’ll be amazed by the talents of these Masquerade masters!

11:00pm Soylent Blue
Uncensored (seriously! We really mean it!) comedy from the deviously brilliant Soylent Theater! Their 2006 show was a raucous ribald rampage with a standing-room-only crowd (and can be found on DVD at the CONvergence Merchandise table and on the CONvergence Special Edition DVD webpage , so make sure to stay up late and laugh with MainStage!
