Sign Language Interpreters at CONvergence

CONvergence is proud to announce that this year we will have sign language interpreters for our convention. We are happy to welcome deaf and hard of hearing fans who will now be better able to join us in our celebration of Science Fiction and Fantasy. This is just one way that we are reaching out to more fans.

At the convention you will see people dressed in dark solid colors at the front of some events and panels. These people are the interpreters. If you wish to talk to one of the deaf members of CONvergence and haven’t learned either American Sign Language (ASL) or telepathy, you can ask one of the interpreters to lend you a hand or two. If an interpreter is not available, other communication options are available including writing it out. Give it a try, you might find a friend.
