We are pleased to state that CONvergence 2006 was our best-attended convention to date, with our registration totals continuing to go up each year.

Demographics

Gender.

Of the 307 people who filled out convention surveys this year (50 more than last year), 52% were male and 48% were female. This is the first year going back to 2002 that more males than females filled out surveys. These numbers fluctuate from year to year, and do not necessarily indicate a trend.

According to the registration database, out of those 2,505 registrations, 2,134 of you are from right here in Minnesota. 109 are from Wisconsin, 58 are from Iowa, 44 from Illinois, and the remaining 160 are from other states across the country or outside of the US.

Favorite Features

According to the survey, Parties and Programming remain the most popular features of CONvergence, with special appreciation going to COF2E2 Free Coffee, the Cinema Rex Movie Room, The Dealers Room, and Guests of Honor. We thank everyone who took the time to fill out a survey and offer feedback on the convention. All survey comments were read and discussed by the Convention Committee and Board of Directors as part of our convention post-mortem review process.
