CVG 2007 - Reserve Your Hotel Room EARLY!

As we move towards the 2007 convention, which will be housed as usual in the Sheraton Bloomington, we are excited as we stand the great opportunity of actually filling the hotel itself. We came close this past year with 530 rooms filled on the peak night (Saturday), and there are 564 rooms in the hotel. We were asked to leave 20 rooms for the hotel to use in 2006, but we are told that in 2007, the whole hotel is ours. Imagine, a building filled with only the members of our tribes!

So, we are instituting a couple of new procedures that we hope will help everyone. Starting in late August, we sent email notices out to all who provided an email address that the CONvergence Hotel Department had received their room request. This may not have included party hosts, on either their sleeping room or party room requests. These were all out by the end of September. If you believe you turned in a form at the convention and did not receive such an email, here are two possible reasons:

• You did not provide an email address.
• We did not get a form from you.

All forms will be forwarded to the hotel in early December. We are working to make that a firm date. Note that such forms will include those received prior to Nov. 15, 2006. Our hope is that all Sheraton confirmations will be emailed or snail-mailed out by December 25. At that point, we move forward with more room requests, assignments and confirmations through until June 30, more or less.
