Batleth Tournament Saturday July 5

CONvergence will again be hosting the Batleth Tournament of the Imperial Klingon Forces. This year's theme is Defeating the Disease, with all proceeds going to benefit the American Diabetes Association.

The IKF is opening the tournament to other Klingon fan clubs but all participants must be certified to fight under IKF rules, due to safety and liability issues for IKF. The IKF Fighters Guild will have marshals on hand to provide necessary training and certification. All tournament weapons will be provided by IKF to ensure that they are made to IKF specifications. IKF reserves the right to refuse to allow participation to anyone who IKF feels may not participate in a safe manner.

The tournament will be held on Saturday morning of the convention on the following schedule:

Saturday, July 5th:

9:00am-10:00am List minute certifications and orientation for fighters
10:00am Opening Ceremonies Speech by IKF Chancellor
10:15am Begin drawing names and starting matches
11:45am (Approximately) Award Ceremony and presentation of prizes
