Gaming Update

Returning to the Radisson South hotel, along with all your other favorite departments, CONvergence Gaming will occupy the 22nd floor from which it can look out across the vast landscape that is the southern Minneapolis suburbs! Also, in an effort to keep the board and card games in a place where people can find them, drop in and have some fun, we'll also have two rooms down in Consuite for CCGs and Strategy Board Games!

Returning for its second year will be the ever-popular games library containing everything from RPG supplements, board games and CCGs to enough dice to choke a robotic mule! We'd still like your help to fill it. So far, several people in the local fan community have donated old games they never play anymore or even new games that they wanted to share with the rest of us. So, if you have anything you'd like to donate to the CONvergence game library, contact David Rust at phantos@visi.com or 612.789.8378 to make the offer!

Of course we'll also be hosting a variety of game tournaments and events, but they'll only be as good as you make them ... so, volunteer! Hours spent refereeing games count towards your overall total of hours spent volunteering.

The Computer Gaming suite will also be returning with the help of the local fans who make up the game company, The Loading Zone! These guys have got it all: Computers, servers, games... And they're donating their time and equipment to CONvergence for the weekend! In addition, if we can swing it, we'll have several television monitors hooked up to a PS2, GameCube, X-Box or whatever other console game we can get our hands on!
