Cinema Rex Update

Cinema Rex is coming off it's biggest year ever in 2002, and in year five we plan show more great movies in the trademark style that has made Rex famous. As in previous years, our films will be shown on a 10 foot screen with booming Dolby Digital sound and in widescreen format on DVD or Laserdisc whenever possible. We'll also have the usual (free) snacks and fresh popcorn at the concession stand for your munching pleasure while you view great movies from the comfy chairs and couches.

Rex is hard at work selecting a list of films worthy of his glorious movie- viewing venue. The time travel theme of the con will play a major part in much of this year's lineup, with more sci-fi and fantasy favorites rounding out the schedule. You can certainly count on H.G. Wells being represented. Last year the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse (Mark Altman, Robert Meyer Burnett, Adam "Mojo" Liebowitz, and Daren Dochterman) set up shop and showed us trailers and special features as well as their own films: Free Enterprise and The Specials. Itıs a little too soon to announce for this year, but Rex can assure you that we're working on more special events to make Cinema Rex the ultra-cool place to spend time at CONvergence 2003.
