Robert Meyer Burnett is proud to announce his DVD producing effort, MGM Home Entertainment's The Usual Suspects - Special Edition has been selected by the 2002 Cannes Film Festival...

"The 2002 Cannes Festival has announced the first annual label of the "Collection DVD festival de Cannes."

A selection committee composed of Bernard Achour ("Les Annees Laser), Gerard Delorme (Premiere ), Patrick Fabre (Studio), Gilles Gressard (DVD Mania) and Scott Hettrick (Video Premieres) has announced on May 23rd the first label Collection DVD 2002 for ten movies on DVD. These DVDs were chosen among titles proposed by the companies and were selected based on artistic and technical merits and for bonus materials.

• In the Mood for Love Dir. Wong Kar Wai (Ocean Films ­ Region 2)
• Moulin Rouge Dir. Baz Luhrmann (Fox Pathe Europa ­ Region 2)
• Requiem for a Dream Dir. Darren Aronofsky (Studio Canel Video ­ Region 2)
• The Usual Suspects Dir. Bryan Singer (MGM Home Entertainment ­ Region 1)
• L'integrale Dir. Jean Vigo (Gaumont Columbia Tristar ­ Region 2)

In making the selections, the committee considered the following factors: the participation of the filmmaker in the special DVD edition of the movie; and the creativity and historical value of the bonus materials.
