Stage Combat Demonstration at CONvergence

CONvergence will feature a stage combat demonstration in the Garden Court on Saturday at 3:00.

The New Dawn Duelist Society will present an overview of European martial arts from the 1300s-1800s. Demonstrations will include long sword, sword & buckler, rapier & dagger, small sword, & grappling techniques. All techniques will be recreated from historical manuals, which will be available for viewing.

Please note that all individuals taking part in this demonstration are trained stage combatants. All fights have been carefully choreographed for the safety of those involved. For your own safety, you will need to remain in the viewing area and will not be allowed to handle the weaponry.
