Karaoke Night 4.1 - Now upgraded to include Karaoke!
November 4th, 7pm, Atrium 6 at the Radisson South in Bloomington, Minnesota
Those of you that managed to make it to Karaoke Night 4 may have noticed a rather conspicuous absence of Karaoke. We had a few minor technical problems (our Karaoke Jockey's car died) that resulted in an enjoyable, but Karaokeless evening.
NOT THIS TIME!
Just for us, our Karaoke Jockey Robb has relocated to the Twin Cities so should his car break down again, we can pick him up!
Other features included in this Karaoke Night upgrade:
- A bug fix that will allow you to pay $5 admission or $3 if you bring a donation of a non-perishable food item or personal care product.
- Prizes for the best performance
- A raffle with all sorts of fun geeky prizes up for grabs
- A cash bar
- And fixes that will allow Karaoke night 4.1 to be compatible with Windows NT 8.3.4.1.6!
Join us to sing or simply to point and laugh. See you there.
Programming Brainstorming Session
Have you ever wondered just how panels and programming events come into being at CONvergence? Ever thought you had some fabulous ideas you wanted to contribute, but weren't sure how to do it? Maybe you thought programming was a little weak in your most-all time-favoritest subject and wanted to do something about it? You've wanted to contribute your programming suggestions but you keep losing the paper forms under your student loan repayment schedules? Well - do we have a deal for you!
On Saturday, November 4, 2000 from 2:00-4:00pm* at the Radisson South Hotel, CONvergence Programming will be hosting a brainstorming session to develop the pool of ideas, thoughts, themes and through-lines that will be shaped, molded, and coaxed into becoming the 2001 Programming Schedule at CONvergence. This is your opportunity to meet with the Programming Hydra (and other fabulous folks!) to get creative, get whacky, and help us start planning the schedule for next July. We can do it ourselves - but it's just not as much fun.
Join us - share your thoughts, hopes, dreams... Maybe even volunteer to help us with further planning during the year. Or (gasp!) share your knowledge with the con-going public and offer to sit on a panel or two! Remember - if you want to see it happen, you have to give us the idea first.
See you in November!
*For those of you paying close attention, this is just before Karaoke Night later that evening - also at the Radisson.
