Rooms!

The hotel department reports that all of the room blocks assigned to CONvergence at the Sheraton, Sofitel and Crowne Plaza are full. The hotels are processing the last of the room requests received and should be done by Wednesday the 11th. If by Thursday the 12th anyone who has submitted a room request has not heard from anyone, please contact hotel@convergence-con.org.

Shuttles!

The Sheraton runs a shuttle about every 30 minutes to and from the airport and the Mall of America. The shuttle schedule can be had at the front desk of the Sheraton. It is important to note that the Sheraton's shuttle stops running at 9:30 p.m.

The Crowne Plaza runs their shuttle much later, until 2 a.m. It dispatches from the Crowne 40 minutes after the hour, every hour, and thus picks up from the Sheraton 5 minutes later (or every 45 minutes after the hour, every hour). We are told that depending on how busy they may be, the shuttle can be called for a pick up and will likely dispatch.

Parking!

With the popularity of CONvergence this year, and our write-up as the "Best Fan Convention" in the City Pages our popularity is likely to increase a bit, arrangements have been made for overflow parking at nearby businesses. Right now the Lifetouch building has granted permission from 5 pm Thursday the 3rd until 5 pm Sunday the 5th. Parking before time on Thursday or after time on Sunday could result in the car being towed.
