Circuit Bending? What the heck is that?

Local sound art duo Beatrix*Jar will join us in Connie's Space Lounge for a circuit bending workshop on Saturday afternoon. Don't miss this unique opportunity to play with electronics and create your own new musical instrument! From Beatrix*Jar's website:

"Circuit Bending gives recycled toys a new life as unique musical instruments. A direct result of experimentation and play, circuit bending requires very little technical know-how to get started, giving everyone the opportunity to experience making electronic music, young or old."

We welcome participants 12 years old and up. A few toys will be provided, but if you have a battery-powered sound-producing toy to experiment on, or one to donate to another budding bender, please bring it with you! All other materials and tools will be provided.
