Parties are a cornerstone of CONvergence. In fact, they are so ingrained in the culture, that all of the Cabana’s on the East and West side of the pool area are given over to a select few that are crazy enough, er... I mean wonderful, talented, smart, popular, and fun enough to take on the challenge of hosting an open party! Every year these dedicated individuals and groups converge upon the poolside area and give their time, energy and money to dazzle us with some of the most creative parties ever seen. Who knew you could take a hotel room and make it into a fallout shelter, a toaster, a dance studio or the Enterprise?

Parties wants YOU! Have you ever thought it would be fun to host a party? Do you want to get information about your organization out to a LARGE population? Have you thought you could never make the cut with all the great parties that happen every year? Well you CAN! And this year the incentives included in our shiny new Parties Partnership Program make hosting even easier! Having a party is a blast, we have openings and welcome you to apply.

So now that you want to host a party, what’s the next step? First, come up with a genius idea for a sci-fi themed party and submit your application. Then, since all parties are open to those with a badge, get ready to get your geek on with the CONvergence membership! Please note, the Pool Area is not open to the public during the run of the convention.
