We are, of course, returning to the Sheraton Bloomington Hotel (formerly known as the Radisson South) in Bloomington, MN. They enjoy having us there and certainly meet our needs well, so we hope to remain there for the foreseeable future. The Sheraton is located on the corner of 494 and 100:

CONvergence room rates for this year will remain the same as last year, so basic sleeping rooms are $101.00 per night plus tax; and poolside cabanas are $125.00 per night plus tax. Please contact the CONvergence Hotel Team for other rates as needed.
CONvergence continues to handle room requests, so if you would like to reserve a hotel room for CONvergence, please fill out and send in the Hotel Room Request Form (you can also download a pdf version of this form). Send NO money at this time. As always, payment for your hotel room is between you and the Sheraton Bloomington Hotel. CONvergence merely oversees the allocation of rooms.
Room reservation confirmations will be sent by the hotel. When hotel confirmations are received, we ask that you review them carefully to ensure that the information contained is accurate, and that you advise CONvergence of any necessary changes.
Once your room reservation has been confirmed as accurate, please contact the hotel to guarantee your reservation by credit card or by sending in a deposit. If using a credit card, you will not be charged for anything until you check out. If sending a deposit, it will be refunded in the event of a cancellation 5 days or more prior to check-in.
Remember that with few exceptions, poolside cabanas are reserved for room parties, and a party request must accompany the room request. If you are holding a party in a room elsewhere in the hotel but want to be included in the party listing, please be sure to submit a party request. This can be done on the same form as the room reservation request.

BULLETIN: Sheraton Hotel is Full!
By now you may have already heard the news - all the rooms at the Sheraton Bloomington hotel are currently full for the CONvergence 2008 weekend. We are quite pleased to report this, as it says that our tenth anniversary year is very popular and promises to be exceptional. For the first time in our history, we have filled not just our room block but the entire hotel well in advance of the convention.
Currently we are securing rooms at our sister hotel, the Sofitel, located directly across the street from the Sheraton. They are graciously extending the Sheraton's convention rate to our guests. The CONvergence Hotel Department therefore is still taking room requests and advising the Sofitel of the guests they should be expecting, so please continue to forward requests directly to CONvergence.
If, in the unlikely event that the Sofitel should fill, we will seek another option, most likely the Crowne Plaza, located across Highway 494, which will run a shuttle between the hotels. Please watch this page for further updates
ADDENDUM: Although the hotel is full, we still have requests to process and confirmations to be sent. We ask a little more patience while we work steadily to catch up.
